Distribución en Colombia
Bosques de niebla hasta los páramos del flanco noroccidental en la sierra Nevada de Santa Marta con registros en los departamentos de Cesar (Stuart et al. 2008,localidad sin precisar), Guajira (Lynch & Ruiz, 1985,Stuart et al. 2008) Magdalena (Lynch & Ruiz, 1985;Ruiz et al. 1996;Acosta, 2000;Stuart et al. 2008) entre los 1300-2700 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
