Distribución en Colombia

Bosques andinos  de la vertiente oriental de la Cordillera Occidental y vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Central en el Departamento del Cauca (Lynch & Suárez, 2003;Bernal & Lynch, 2008) y Huila (Bernal & Lynch, 2008)  entre los 2400-2700 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
