Bosques andinos y subandinos, vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Oriental en los Departamentos de Boyacá (Bernal & Lynch, 2008) y Santander (Lynch, 1984;Ruiz et al.1996;Acosta, 2000;Jerez et al. 2001;Suárez & Ramírez, 2004; Bernal & Lynch, 2008;Stuart et al. 2008)entre los 2000-2750 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
