Distribución en Colombia
Páramos de la región norte del Macizo central colombiano y sur de la cordillera Central, con registros en los departamentos de Cauca (Lynch, 1980; :Lynch, 1991;Ruiz et al. 1996;Ardila & Acosta, 2000;Acosta, 2000;Bernal & Lynch, 2008,Gonzáles-Durán. 2016;Gonzáles-Durán et al. 2017) y Huila (Lynch, 1991;Ardila & Acosta, 2000;Acosta,2000;Bernal & Lynch, 2008,Gonzáles-Durán, 2016) sobre los 2400-3300 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
