Páramos de la región norte de la cordillera Occidental con registros en el departamento de Antioquia (Lynch,1995;Ruiz et al. 1996;Lynch, 1998;Acosta, 2000;Ardila & Acosta, 2000;Páez et al. 2002;Bernal & Lynch, 2008;Stuart et al. 2008,Gonzáles-Durán, 2016; Gonzáles-Duran et al. 2017;Rivera et al. 2017) entre los 3149-3800 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
