Bosques andinos y subandinos, vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Oriental en el Departamento de Santander (Lynch, 1984;Ruiz et al.1996;Acosta, 2000;Gutiérrez et al., 2004; Bernal & Lynch, 2008;Stuart et al. 2008)entre los 1740-2400 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
