Distribución en Colombia:

Bosques subandinos hasta páramos de las dos vertientes de la Cordillera Oriental en los Departamentos de Arauca (Blanco et al. 2019), Boyacá (Cochran & Goin, 1970;Ruiz et al. 1996;Acosta, 2000;Ardila & Acosta, 2000; Grant et al.  2006; Bernal & Lynch, 2008;Sánchez, 2013;Anganoy, 2013;Acosta-Galvis et al. 2020) Casanare (Ardila & Acosta, 2000), Cundinamarca (Stebbins & Hendrickson, 1959;Cochran & Goin, 1970;Navas, 1996,1996a;Ruiz et al. 1996;Fandiño et al. 1997;Acosta, 2000;Ardila & Acosta, 2000; Navas & Bevier, 2001; Lynch & Renjifo, 2001;Grant et al.  2006;Bernal & Lynch, 2008;Sánchez, 2013;Anganoy, 2013;Acosta-Galvis et al. 2020)  Meta (Ruiz et al. 1996; Acosta, 2000) y Santander (Bernal & Lynch, 2008; Sánchez, 2013) entre los 1750-4020  metros sobre el nivel del mar.
